Is my child is due for an annual exam?
Oftentimes, children do not tell their parents they cannot see well because they don’t know what it is like to see clearly. They have nothing to compare it to. It is important to have your child’s eyes examined yearly so that they can perform at their optimum level in school.
Some major signs that suggest your child needs an eye exam:
√ Showing difficulty seeing the board.
√ Showing difficulty reading up close.
√ Skipping lines when reading.
√ Complaining of headaches.
√ Complaining of tired eyes when looking at the computer or studying for long periods of time.
√ Head tilt to the side, and looking out of the corner of their eyes to see things far away.
√ Lowering their head with their chin down to see things far away.
√ Closing one eye in sunlight or bright light.
√ Constantly rubbing their eyes.
